I seem to be in Walmart a lot and I find a lot of my craft items here. I am going to show you a lot of items from Walmart that we have used here at The Shabby Tree.
The first item that is a must have for me from Walmart is the wax burner. I have these all throughout my home and business. I use this now instead of lighting candles.
Two of my favorite scents are the vanilla carmel and the tropical fiesta.
We have made pom poms and tassels by using the pom pom tassel maker.
I buy a lot of my yarn from Walmart. You can a variety of yarn in all colors.
You can find a variety of the glue that I use in my crafts all from Walmart .
My Walmart has a very good fabric section
I get some of my muslin from Walmart as well as my warm and natural
You can also get large boxes of poly fill here.
We recently used heat n bond for making a valentine t-shirt.
You can find the Velcro that I have used on our DIY pillows here.
You will find a variety of buttons that we have used on some of our recent DIY’s.
I also get some of my bling embellishments here.
You will find a variety of twine here.
I will sometime use a yarn needle when working with twine or ribbon. You can find a variety of large needles in the sewing isle.
I will sometimes pick up some spoils of thread here too
You will find a large selection of thread and ribbons.
We have done a lot of DIY’s over Christmas using hangers.
Two items I will pick up back in their paint section are drop cloths and masking paper.
I always get asked where in Walmart so I find my wooden items. We have a craft isle with a variety of wooden items.
This is where I find all the wooden trucks I’m always buying.
A few other items I find in this isle are the burlap flowers and the burlap tape.
You can also find a wood burner in this isle
I will sometimes grab grapevine wreaths and moss.
Summer is quickly approaching and here are a few must haves for our summer DIY’s
In the craft isle you will find the wooden spindles, wooden clothes pins, felt, magnets and beads that we have used on many of our crafts.
A few other items I like to get are pipe cleaners, styrofoam balls, pom poms and popsicle sticks.
I hope that this will help you see and find a lot of the items that we have been using here at The Shabby Tree. I am crafting everyday so I try to look for craft supplies every where I go.
Barb, are the one solar lights you show from Walmart the ones you use for your twig stars? I have several made but don’t know where you got your lights.
HELP PLEASE 🌸💕
This post makes me realize how tiny our Walmart’s are. Our inventory is embarrassing compared to this. Wow. Makes me very sad knowing our selection is ridiculously limited.
Thanks Barb for all the great ideas and pictures of everything… your the best!
Thank you!! This make the craft you show us that much easier!
What is the Warm and Natural and what is it used for? I have heard you mention it a time or two on your posts. I watched you every day!! Thank you!!!
Warm and Natural is most often used as a quilt batting. It can also be used for many other type of projects.
I have never seen a craft department in any Walmart’s looking this good. Most of the ones where l live have little or no craft areas.
Thanks Barb .oh I wish we could go shopping.
Most of the Walmart’s near me in New York have next to nothing in their craft section. Sparse doesn’t even begin to describe their inventory.
That is a well stocked Wal Mart.
Do you know if you can buy clothespins without the spring, to make the star or snowflake at Christmas???
You can take the springs off but I do not know if you can buy them without the springs!
Send me
I wanted to ask Barb what size
The frame with plexiglass that you put the painted wood ball jar with dried hydrangeas on…….
And the price. Sometimes the price on line is much higher than in the store. The pioneer woman napkins were 6 or 7 dollars on line and 2.50 in store.
I picked up hangers and twine today to make a star. I also got some chunky yarn off the clearance aisle. I’m going to try to make a star with that! I also stopped at dollar tree for cookie tins and got chalk paint at Walmart. Gonna try to make a flower.
Barb-unfortunately the walmarts in NJ arent stocked anywhere near as well on the few items they do carry that you listed.our walmarts have no fabric/ sewing stuff, a very limited supply of craft items and most of the stuff you listed I’ve never seen in our walmart, unfortunately. But I do go to Michael’s, Joanns, home goods, Marshall’s, tjmax and dollar tree and dollar general, although they carry far less items as yours and are way smaller. It wont keep me from crafting. It just makes those of us like myself be more imaginative and work with what we have! Keep on doing what you love bc we love you!!
Have you checked the Walmart online? If you purchase the items online you can often pickup at your store. That way you still get the Walmart prices. Just an idea.
