I found some cute canvas slip on sneakers in walmart and I knew I wanted to try and do something fun with them. We seem to have a lot of different holiday napkins here at The Shabby Tree and I thought it would be fun to mod podge a few of the napkins onto the sneakers. I’m super excited to give this a try and create a few different styles.
The supplies you will need are:
1. Canvas shoes (I found these canvas slip in sneakers in Walmart)
2. Scissors
3. Napkins
4. Mod podge for fabric
5. Paint brush
The first step is to be sure to seperate the layers of your napkin. I am using a vintage santa print napkin that I got from Marshall’s.
You will start applying your napkin to your canvas shoe in small sections at a time. I first apply some of the mod podge directly into the shoe.
You will then place your piece of napkins on top of the mod podge . I then add more mod podge on top of the napkin. You will continue this process until the show is completely covered.
I created two different pairs using two different styles of napkins.
This is so easy to do and there are so many different styles of napkins out there. I hope you will all get creative and give this a try.
