I have been finding some new craft items in my Dollar Tree and I’m excited to get creative with them. Since Spring is right around the corner I thought it would be fun to create a fun and unique carrot. The pack of wood slices that I found at the Dollar Tree will work perfect for this carrot.

The supplies that I’ll be using are:
1. One pack of Dollar Tree wood slices
2. One Dollar Tree bamboo cutting board
3. Hot glue
4. Greenery sprig
5. American acrylic paint by DecoArt ( color Spiced Pumpkin)
6. Black chalky finish paint by DecoArt
7. Paint brush
8. Ribbon and bling (optional)
9. Small hand saw if needed

The first thing that I did was paint my cutting hoard with the black chalky finish paint.

I set the cutting board aside to dry and then I painted the wood slices.

I painted the wood slices with the Spiced Pumpkin colored paint.

I glued some greenery sprigs to the top center area if the board .

Now it’s time to start glueing the wood slices to the board forming a carrot.

You can create your carrot any size that you want.

I used a hand saw to trim 3 of the wood slices.

This carrot will not be a perfect shaped carrot but it’s definitely a unique carrot.

I glued a piece of ribbon and a Shabby Tree bling to the top of the carrot.

This was a very quick and easy carrot to make and will look great any where in your home. I hope you’ll get creative and give this carrot a try.
