I was in Walmart and saw some fun iron on material. I knew as soon as I saw it that I wanted to make some fun t-shirts.
The supplies you will need: 1. T-shirt 2. Iron on material ( I found this buffalo print iron on material in walmart) 3. Iron 4 scissors
The first thing you need to do is cut out your appliqué design. I am cutting out 3 different size trees. You can use a variety of items to trace for your cut outs. I am folding the material in half and just drawing a tree and cutting it out.
Once your designs are cut out then you can iron them onto t-shirt.
The directions on package say to place a piece of fabric over your cut outs and then iron on. You will iron for 20 to 30 seconds on front side then turn shirt inside out and iron on back side.
I got my t-shirt and my iron on material from Walmart. This is a fun diy and I hope you all give it a try.
I simply LOVE this tshirt. I really thought it was one you had from the past on the boutique. I will look for this iron on fabric and make myself one. This will make a good gift for my family at Christmas next year!🎄 🌲🥰
Finally figured out how to comment on your blogs
Hi Barb, I so enjoy your Shabby Tree site, and you wonderful energy! You inspire so many!
Where might I find those shabby tree red trucks with the hearts in the tops appliqué to iron on a T-shirt. I so want to make one. Thanks for any help!
Hi Barb from Texas,, went to one of my Walmarts yesterday after watching you make this amazing shirt. Couldnt find the iron-on material…was so sad. I am also going to try to make the colander snow man for my front porch. We dont get much snow in west Texas so this will be cute. Im a beginner crafter hoping it turns out… LOVE LOVE LOVE your ideas..
I bought 4 packages a month ago and I saw the other day they still have some left ..wish I had grabbed them! Making a shirt tomorrow!
What did you do to seal the edges of the trees? We used to put paint
around the edges but that’s so “old school”. We’ve even blanket-stitched
the edges but that’s way more effort than I want to have while making
three shirts with my 6 year old granddaughter.
But I don’t want the edges to curl up or try to come off when we wash
them. Any suggestions?
could not find the material like this but brought some at HL and the iron-on Pellon fabric material and made my own and I love it. I had more trouble finding a long sleeve Black t-shirt than I did other material. This is my favorite. Thank you
I like your other trees where can I get that one, its green I do believe.
I sweat shirt like this would be very cute!
Love this, just did mine, and cut out 3 little trees for the back top area too.
So we have a lot of this iron on, guess Barb, you need to come up with more crafts using it.
Could you post a life size pattern for the 3 trees. Thank you.
Check the Walmart Christmas section. I found mine next to the appliques.
I searched and searched my Walmart fabric department for the iron on material squares. No luck … so I looked in Christmas for the iron on appliques you showed also. The fabric squares were in our Walmart Christmas section next to the appliques.
My grandkids are in show choir and I will be using the iron on fabric to make music notes on a tee shirt to wear to their competitions. Thanks for letting me know about this. I would have never noticed them.
does anyone know where we can get this online? Cannot find them.
Looked at Charlotte NC area Walmart and online. I couldn’t find. 😲
love this. going to wal mart tomorrow.
Love this
Went to my Walmart and couldn’t find the Fort Pierce,FL
So cute! thank you
So enjoy seeing what you are going to come up with every day. You are fun and addictive to watch!!!
What do u do about the cut edges after u put them on shirt? I bought buttons that are stars, candy canes and manger scene to add to the trees and under and around the trees. Making them for mom, sister and I to wear on Black Friday to Christmas shop.
I love those wooden snow flakes, not able to find them, could you help me out
Looked at 2 Walmart’s in Florida cannot find fusible Christmas fabric.
