Summer is here and it’s time to start pulling out your shorts. I always love my denim shorts but I wanted to change them up a little. Walmart has a lot of cute denim shorts at a reasonable price so I decided to buy a few different styles. I knew there had to be a way to create some fun and unique shorts using doilies.
This is so simple to do and the supplies you will need are:
1. Shorts (I bought denim shorts from Walmart)
2. Doilies (I bought my doilies from Amazon)
3. Surebonder fabric glue
First you need to decide where you want to place your doilies.
Next you will need to start adding the surebonder fabric glue. I like to place my doily where I want it to be and then lift up sections and add the glue.
You will keep adding glue until your whole doily is secure in place.
You can overlap doilies and place them in all different areas.
You can do this with any colored denim shorts. I just love how my denim shorts turned out.
This can be done with other items too. You can get creative with lace and material and do the same technique.
I added some cute lace cut outs to my back pockets.
These are way to easy to do and I hope you will all get creative and give this a try. We did use a glue so I washed all my shorts on a gentle cycle and I would suggest hanging them to dry. I did put my shorts in the dryer on a low temp and they did fine.
