I am all about creating a quick and easy decoration. We do a lot of crafts here at The Shabby Tree and I always like to incorporate some type of lights in a lot of them. If you have glass jars you are going to love this idea.
The supplies I will be using are:
1. Glass jar (I am using Ball canning jars)
2. Paper heart doilies
3. Twine
4. Glue gun
5. Crochet doily
6. Green paint and paint brush
7. Puck light or canning lid light
I will be adding paper heart doilies to the outside of the jar for Valentine’s Day. I am glueing a smaller pink heart to a white heart.
You will just use twine to attach the heart to the jar. Wrap the twine around the jar a few times.
I also added a crochet doily and a paper heart to a smaller jar.
Once you have your jars decorated you will want to add a light.
I ordered the puck lights from amazon and the lid light is from our website.
I love how easy this jar decoration can be changed out for different holidays. I am painting 3 of the paper heart doilies green to create a shamrock for St. Patrick’s Day.
I glued the three hearts together and then glued on a pipe cleaner for the stem.
These look amazing at night when lit up. I hope you will all get creative and give this a try.
