I have been getting a lot of questions about what to do with empty pill bottles. I know there are a lot of crafts that you can do with them but this one is my favorite and turns out so cute.
The supplies I will be using are:
1. Empty pill bottle (you can use any size that you want)
2. Glue gun
3. Black chunky yard
4. Ribbon
5. Red pom poms with green felt holly leaves.
I will not be using the lid to the pill bottle.
You will start glueing the chunky yarn into the pill bottle. I am starting at the bottom of the pill bottle.
You will continue wrapping until the whole bottle is covered.
When you get to the bottom you will continue glueing the chunky yard to the previous layer of yarn. This will start to form the brim of the hat.
You will make the brim as wide as you want.
No one will be seeing the bottom of the hat so I am leaving it as is. You can add a piece of cardboard and cover it with the chunky yarn if you want.
I then added a strip of ribbon and my holly pieces.
I hope you will get creative and give this a try. These are very easy to make and can be hung on a tree or used on top of a small snowman.
I added some wire to hang them onto my tree.
