Crafting is all about getting creative and having fun. We try to find ways to create fun and unique items here at The Shabby Tree . I was recently in the Dollar Tree and bought a few hair donuts. These hair donuts can be used to easily create some fun and unique pumpkins.
A few other supplies I will be using are: 1. Chunky yarn 2. Hot glue 3. Scissors 4. Tree stick
You will want to cut a piece of your chunky about 3 yds long. I purchased my chunky yarn from Hobby Lobby.
You will want to hold down one end of the yarn and begin wrapping the yarn around the hair donut.
You will continue pulling the yarn up and through the center of the hair donut.
You will want to hot glue the end of the yarn down in the center.
The last step is to add your stem in the center. I added a little hot glue to help hold it in place.
These are so easy to make and you can create them in a variety of colors. I love displaying them in my dough bowl. I hope you will get creative and give these a try.
