I seem to find myself in the Dollar Tree a lot and I recently picked up a few wooden items. My Dollar Tree is a Dollar Tree Plus so the items I bought were $3.00. I want to try and give the wooden items a galvanized metal look.
This DIY will be very quick and easy and the supplies I will be using are:
1. Wooden star from the Dollar Tree
2. Wooden heart from the Dollar Tree
3. Paint brush
4. DecoArt Americana Decor Metallics and the color I’m using is Obsidian
I bought bought both wooden items from my Dollar Tree Plus and they were each $3.00.
I purchased the DecoArt Americana Decor Metallics from Michaels.
This covers very well and I will be doing only one coat.
I completely covered each wooden item with the metallic paint.
These can be used as is for a decoration but I want to use them as a bowl for a candle.
I added a timer taper holder to each one and then added a candle and some greenery.
This makeover was very quick and easy and I just love how they turned out. I hope you will get creative and give this a try.
