I started thinking about Christmas and decided I wanted to do a fun snowflake and snowman theme this year. After going through my craft supplies I found a few items that we can use to make a light up snowflake decoration.

The items that I’ll be using are listed down below.

1. One 200mm plastic ornament from Hobby Lobby

2. Wood burning tool

3. Hot glue

4. Spray adhesive

5. Silver tinsel

6. Silver glitter

7. Poly-fil stuffing

8. Wooden snowflakes from the Dollar Tree

The first step is to draw a circle onto the plastic ornament. I used the center of a paper plate for my pattern.

Once you have the circle drawn onto the ornament you’ll then cut it out with the wood burning tool.

The next step is to cover the wooden snowflakes with the silver glitter.

I sprayed the adhesive onto the snowflakes and then sprinkled on the glitter.

Once I had the snowflakes covered with the glitter I then added the tinsel to the ornament.

I used hot glue along the edge of the opening to secure the tinsel in place.

I added a 20 count set of battery operated lights and poly-fill to the inside of the ornament.

The last step is to set the snowflakes inside of the ornament.

This was very easy to make and will look great any where in your home. I hope you’ll get creative and give this a try.
