How To Make Faux Pearls Using Air Dry Clay

by blewis | Feb 14, 2025 | Everyday DIY, Home Decor | 15 comments

I recently picked up some Play-Doh air dry clay from Walmart and found it very easy to get creative with. This clay is very soft and dries with a soft foam feel.
You can find this air dry clay on Walmart by clicking my referral link down below.

These pearls are very quick and easy to make. The first step is to roll some of the clay into small balls. Place the small balls onto parchment paper and let them dry over night. Once the balls were dry I used a thin wire to string the balls all together. You can use a Pearl Mist metallic spray paint to give the pearls a pearlized look. You can find this spray paint on Amazon by clicking my referral link down below.

These pearls will be great to add to so many of our diys.
I hope you’ll get creative and give these pearls a try.
