Walmart just put out the cutest LED sign, and I knew we had to snag it! I love that it lights up, and there are so many fun ways to get creative with it. I thought it would be perfect to turn into an interchangeable sign!
You can find the supplies that I’ll be using down below.
1. One Led Scalloped sign from Walmart
2. Mod podge
3. Waverly antique wax
4. Waverly hazelnut chalk paint
5. Paint brush
6. Extra strength craft magnets from Walmart
7. Rice paper from European Excellency
8. One 7 inch craft circle from Walmart
9. Hot glue
The first thing you’ll want to do is paint the LED sign with Hazelnut chalk paint.
Just be sure not to paint over the light that goes around the sign.
Next, brush Waverly Antique Wax over the chalk-painted surface.
Once the sign is painted, go ahead and paint the craft circle.
I brushed a little of the chalk paint around the edge of the craft circle. Since the rice paper will go in the center, I left that area unpainted. Then I added a layer of Mod Podge and placed the rice paper on top.
You can also put the rice paper on first and then paint around the outer edge if you prefer. I brushed another layer of Mod Podge over the rice paper, and once it was dry, I added antique wax to the edge.
The last step is to glue the magnets in place.
I stuck both magnets together and the added hot glue to one side.
