How To Make A Pumpkin Out Of Flowers

by blewis | Aug 8, 2024 | Fall/Halloween, Holiday | 76 comments

I found myself in Walmart and I came across some amazing floral bushes. The color of these flowers just screamed Fall to me. After looking at them I just knew I wanted to use them to create a flower.
You can find these flowers in Walmart for less than $4.00 a bush.
The supplies that I’ll be using are listed down below.
1. Four flower bushes from Walmart
2. Styrofoam cutter
3. One sheet of styrofoam and mine is 1”x11.9”x17.9”)
4. One small tree limb
5. One brown lunch bag
6. Hot glue
7. Orange felt
8. Wire cutters
The first step is to use the styrofoam cutter to cut out the shape of a pumpkin.
Once you have the styrofoam cut you’ll then cut the flowers.
You’ll want to place a small amount of glue onto the end of each flower. I’m using a glue skillet but you can use a regular hot glue gun.
You’ll want to cover the styrofoam with the flowers.
I added some of the greenery to the top as shown in photo above.
I covered the back and sides of the styrofoam with orange felt.
I added a stem to the top and then placed a piece of a lunch bag over the stem.
I twisted the lunch bag to form the stem to my pumpkin. I added a touch of brown stain over the stem and added a cute hang tag.
This pumpkin was so easy to make and will look great any where in your home. I hope you’ll get creative and give this a try.
