Fall is just around the corner and your going to want to make a few of these quick and easy twine pumpkins. These are great for bowl fillers , sitting on your mantel or if your like me decorating a fall tree.
The supplies you will need are:
styrofoam balls( any size that you would like to use)
twine,
twigs from your yard,
clippers to cut the twigs,
scissors,
hot glue gun
and hot glue sticks for styrofoam.
The first thing you will need to do is flatten the top and bottom of the styrofoam ball. This is going to make it look more like the shape of a pumpkin. I just took my hands and pressed the ball against the table. I did this to both sides of the styrofoam ball.
Next you take the twigs and cut them to a length for a stem. I cut mine about 1 1/2 inches.
Next you will stick your stem into the top of your styrofoam ball. This will be the stem of your pumpkin.
Take your hot glue and start putting glue around your stem. Next your going to take your twine and start wrapping and placing the twine on top of the glue.
You will continue this process until you completely cover the whole styrofoam ball.
Once your styrofoam ball is completely covered you now have a small twine pumpkin. I wanted to add a little something to a few of mine. I added a few small doilies to the top. You can find these doilies in Hobby Lobby in the Paper Studio section.
I cut a small hole in center of doily so that I can place it over the stem of the pumpkin.
After you place the doily over the stem just add a little hot glue to hole it down and in place.
You can add a variety of things to dress your pumpkins up. Once your pumpkins are complete it’s time to incorporate them into your home. I love adding them to dough bowls or even in the center of a fern wreath.
I hope you enjoyed this easy Diy and I hope you all give it a try.
Did you make the rope looking pumpkins in the dough bowl?
