It’s time to start pulling out your summer decorations. I love adding Americana decor throughout my home for the summer. We’re always creating fun and unique items here at The Shabby Tree, so I thought we could make some fun Americana ice cream cones.

You will find the supplies that I’ll be using for these ice cream cones down below.

1. Americana fabric

2. Hot glue

3. Scissors

4. Wooden charcuterie cones from Amazon

5. Styrofoam balls ( mine are 2.8”)

6. Twine

I’ll be using 3 to 4 cones layered together. You’ll want to cut the top edge of the cones, as shown in the photo below.

You can find the cones I used here: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0B1TJ1BQM?linkCode=ssc&tag=onamztheshabb-20&creativeASIN=B0B1TJ1BQM&asc_item-id=amzn1.ideas.3P1T9U2GJA6TW&ref_=aip_sf_list_spv_ons_mixed_d_asin

Once the cones are trimmed, you’ll glue the styrofoam ball into the cones.

Add hot glue along the inner edge of the cones, then place the styrofoam ball inside.

Once the styrofoam ball is glued in place, you’ll cut your fabric. I traced a paper plate to create a circle of fabric.

Add hot glue around the outer edge of the cones, then place the fabric on top.

I wrapped some twine around the cone and trimmed the excess fabric.

These make a fun decoration that can be placed anywhere in your home. I hope you’ll get creative and give them a try.
