My Dollar Tree is now a Dollar Tree Plus which means they have a variety of items for $3.00 to $5.00. I recently purchased a bag of 24 yarn pompoms for $3.00 . Valentine’s Day is approaching and I thought it would be fun to create a heart with these pompoms.
The supplies I will be using are:
1. One pack of 24 pompoms from the Dollar Tree Plus.
2. Mod podge
3. Hot glue
4. Book pages
5. Paint brush
6. Scissors
7. Cardboard
8. Paper heart as my pattern
The first step was to cut out a cardboard heart. I cut out a paper heart to use as a pattern. You can make your heart any size that you want. My heart is 14 1/2 inches wide and 11 1/2 inches tall.
Once my cardboard heart was cut out I started adding my book pages.
I first added the mod podge onto the cardboard and then I added more mod podge over the book pages.
I trimmed off the excess paper around the cardboard heart.
I used hot glue to attach the pompoms around the edge of the heart.
I created a hang tag to add to the top.
Once my heart was finished I decided to add a few pieces of music paper over my book pages.
This heart is so easy to make and will look great on fireplace mantle. I hope you will get creative and give this easy DIY a try.
