Spring is here and it is time to start decorating. I always like to add flowers throughout my house for Spring and Summer. If you are part of The Shabby Tree then you all know that I keep trees up throughout my home all year long. I wanted to create a fun and easy way to add a few flowers to my trees for different holidays. The Dollar Tree had some fun Patriotic flowers that I want to to turn into a quick and easy clip on flower.
The supplies I will be using are:
1. Artificial flower stems (I purchased mine from the Dollar Tree)
2. Scissors
3. Burlap
4. Green paint
5. Hot glue
6. Wooden clothes pins (I am using round peg and spring clothes pins)
7. Paint brush
I will be removing the flowers from the stems so I want to create a few leaves. You can cut small leaves out of the burlap and then paint them with the green paint.
I then glued the leaves to the clothespin.
I removed the flower from the stem and then removed the center part of the flower. Removing the center part of the flower will allow your flower to lay flat onto the clothes pin.
I used two different types of clothes pins. You can also paint the clothes pins green or leave them unpainted.
These are so easy to create and you can use all different types of flowers.
I added some glue and then silver glitter to the center of my flowers.
These look so cute to clipped to my all year long tree. You can clip these to a wreath, tree or garland. I hope you will get creative and give these a try.
