Spring is here which means it’s time to start cleaning the yard and porch. I’ve been working on my front porch and I seem to have a daisy theme going on. I love adding wind chimes to my porch and I thought it would be fun to create a daisy wind chime.

The supplies that I’ll be using are:

1. Two Dollar Tree cake pans

2. Drill and drill bit

3. Wire cutters

4. Metal bells

5. Americana acrylic paint by DecoArt ( color marigold)

6. White chalky finish paint by DecoArt

7. Polyurethane spray

8. Multi Colored Textured spray paint by Rust-oleum

9. Warm Caramel colored spray pInt by Rust-oleum

10. Paint brush

11. Two Dollar Tree hanging chain pot holders

The first step is to put both cake pans together as shown in photo above. You will want to drill some holes through both cake pans.

I drilled one at top center and 5 at the bottom.

You’ll take the chain pot holders apart and hang one chain through the top center hole.

I added about 5 bells to the inside of the pans.

Once I had the bells added to the pans I then added the 5 remaining chains to the bottom holes.

Once I had the chains in place I then spray painted the pans and chains.

I used the wire cutters to cut one end of the metal loop on the bell.

I placed the metal piece through the chain and squeezed the little loop piece shut.

You can cut the chains to be different lengths when adding the bells.

I used a canning jar lid to create the center circle of my daisy.

I painted the circle with the marigold colored paint.

Once your circle is painted you’ll then paint on the petals. I used a white chalky finish paint for the petals.

You’ll want to paint both cake pans.

This is very easy to make and there are so many different ways to get creative with this.

This looks perfect hanging on my front porch with all of my other daisy items. I hope you’ll get creative and give this a try.
