My family seems to love pickles and Salsa and both of these items come in glass jars. I have accumulated a lot of these glass jars and I have been trying to find some ways to recycle them. If you love decorating then your going to want to give this a try. You can create these recycled glass jars into amazing decorative storage containers.
The supplies you will need are:
1. Glass jar (I’m using a recycled pickle jar)
2. Decorative knob
3. Spray paint
4. Drill with drill bit (you will want your drill to be the same size as the screw to your knob)
First I spray painted the lid to my jar.
You will then need to drill a hole in the center of your lid. I am using a drill bit that is the same size as the screw to my knob.
You will then place your knob onto your lid.
This is so easy and you can find large variety of decorative knobs in Hobby Lobby.
This is a great jar for your bathroom. I also used a chalk paint for glass on my salsa jar.
Be sure to clean your glass jar with some alcohol before painting.
The chalk paint for glass will take a few coats. Once it is all dried I sprayed it with a polyurethane.
There are so many different ways to create these jars. These make great decorative storage containers for your bathroom.
You can recycle and create some amazing unique storage containers at the same time.
