It is time to start thinking ahead to Fall and my mind is on pumpkins. When I think about Fall I think about adding a variety of pumpkins throughout my home. I was in the Dollar Tree and they are starting to put out all of their Fall. As I walked around the Dollar Tree I realized that they have bamboo cutting boards that I just knew could be used to create a fun and unique pumpkin.

You will need three of these bamboo cutting boards for one pumpkin.

Some other supplies I will be using are:

1. Some pieces of scrap lace or material

2. Mod podge

3. Paint brush

4. One wooden shim

5. Hot glue

6. Maple colored gel stain by DecoArt

7. Scrap ribbon or strips of material

8. Scissors

The first step is to paint the gel stain on all three cutting boards. I did back and front of each board.

Once all three cutting boards are dry you will then glue them together as shown in photos below.

I then cut the wooden shim to the size stem I wanted for the pumpkin. You will glue the stem to the back side of the pumpkin.

The next step is to cut your lace or material to be mod podged onto the front of your pumpkin.

I added the mod podge onto the cutting boards and then added more mod podge over the lace.

I tied a few strips of material and ribbon around the stem.

This pumpkin can be created so many different ways. I hope you will get creative and give this pumpkin a try.
