We started creating some Spring decorations here at The Shabby Tree. I love decorating for Spring and I always like to incorporate some flowers and mix in some fun decorative eggs for Easter. The Dollar Tree will be putting out coco liners that will work perfect for creating a decorative egg.

The supplies that I’ll be using are :

1. Two Dollar Tree coco liners

2. Doll needle

3. Embroidery thread

4. Scissors

You’ll want to cut both coco liners into the shape of an egg.

I cut my first one and then made sure to cut the second one the exact same size.

Once you have both your egg shapes cut out you’ll then cut the center out of one of them.

I folded it in half and then cut the center out.

The next step is to see both eggs together using the embroidery thread.

You’ll want to sew around the edge of both eggs together.

Once you have them sewn together it should look like the egg in photo above.

I decided to glue some tinsel around the inside edge. This is optional but I like the look. You can add glitter or any type of ribbon if you want.

I added some green moss to the inside of the egg.

This egg was so quick and easy to make. You can add anything to the inside if the egg. I added a small bunny which will look great for Easter. I hope you’ll get creative and give this egg a try. You can find the tinsel that I used on our website by clicking the link down below.
