If you’re following The Shabby Tree then you all know we have been creating a lot of things out of the Dollar Tree tin cookie sheets. The Dollar Tree now has some amazing calendars out and I have come up with a way to use both items to create a fun and unique pouch for my artificial flowers.
The supplies you will need are:
1. Dollar Tree tin cookie sheets
2. Dollar Tree calendar
3. Mod podge
4. Scissors
5. Paint brush
6. Glue gun
7. Artificial greenery
8. Spray paint (I am using a black spray paint)
The first step is to paint your tin cookie sheets. You will need 2 tin cookie sheets to create this pouch.
The Dollar Tree has a variety of calendars but I will be using the Simply Blessed one.
You will want to cut all the rim off of the cookie sheets. I also picked which sheet of the calendar I will be using.
You will want to cut your cookie sheets to whatever size you want. I cut mine to be a 12×10 and i cut my sheet from the calendar to a 9 1/2 x 9 1/2.
Once you cookie sheets are cut and your sheet from the calendar it is now time to add the mod podge.
I added mod podge to the back side of the calendar sheet and then I placed it into the tin cookie sheet.
I then added mod podge all over the top.
I then added the hot glue to 3 of the sides and placed the two tin cookie together with the painted sides facing outward.
It now created a pocket.
I used a whole puncher to punch holes to the top corners so that I can add ribbon for a hanger.
This is so easy to make and there are so many different ways you can get creative with this. You can use a variety of sheets from the calendars and change up the paint colors you use.
