I have done a few crafts using hangers and I love how they all turned out. You all know that I am obsessed with trees so I thought we would try making a tree out of wire hangers. This tree can be displayed in your home all year long and you can create it any color you would like.

The supplies you will need are:

1. Six wire hangers (I purchased mine from Amazon)

2. Pipe cleaners (I am using chenille pipe cleaners from Hobby Lobby)

3. Scissors 4. Ribbon (I am using a poly pro mesh ribbon from Hobby Lobby)

You will first need to assemble two hangers together.

Cross two hangers together forming what looks like a triangle.

Cut your pipe cleaners into 3 pieces. You will use these to attach the hangers together.

I connected the hangers together in 3 places with the pipe cleaner.

You will do this same process to the remaining 4 hangers. Your six hangers should now be formed into 3 pieces.

You will insert one piece into the other.

Insert all 3 pieces and you should now have what looks like a standing tree.

To secure all 3 pieces together I added a pipe cleaner to the top and to the center bottom. This will help secure your tree all together and keep your pieces spread apart.

It is now time to start wrapping your ribbon around the wire hanger tree.

You will be attaching your ribbon with the pipe cleaners.

To make a starting point I wrapped the end of my ribbon around one of the wire hangers and secured it in place with a piece of the pipe cleaner.

You will continue to wrap your ribbon around the tree securing it to each hanger as you go around.

I twist my ribbon every now and then as I wrap it around.

I feel like twisting your ribbon helps to make it fuller and gives it a prettier look.

You will continue doing this until you get to the top of the tree. It took me 2 rolls of ribbon to completely cover the wire hanger tree.

I left a small opening at the top so I can insert the end on my ribbon down into the hole.i feel that This will help give your tree a nice finished look to top.

You can add a star to the top. I am using a small grapevine star.

You can leave this tree as is or add a container to the base.

I found an amazing metal container in Hobby Lobby.

These trees can be created with any type or color of ribbon.

I found an amazing basket in Hobby Lobby for the green tree. These are so easy to make and I hope you will all get creative and give it a try.
