I love trees of all kinds and I love creating trees. We have made a variety of trees here at The Shabby Tree but I would love to create one using plastic ball ornaments. I want to keep it easy but I want it to be colorful with a vintage feel.
The supplies that I’ll be using are:
1. Plastic ball ornaments ( I will be using 3 different sizes)
2. One wooden tree cut out from the Dollar Tree
3. Silver tinsel from our website
4. Hot glue
5. Maple colored gel stain by DecoArt
6. Paint brush
7. One plastic glitter star
I purchased all of my plastic ball ornaments from Hobby Lobby. You can find these where they keep all of the ornaments for small trees.
I glued a small plastic glitter star to the very top.
I then glued silver tinsel over the entire tree.
You can find the silver tinsel on our website right here

Once I had the tinsel glued on I then painted the trunk with the Gel Stain.
The next step is to start glueing on the ornaments.
I removed the plastic hanging part from all of the ornaments.
I glued the large and medium ornaments onto the tree first as shown above.
I glued the large and medium ornaments onto the tree first as shown above.
I glued the small ornaments on last and I placed them where needed.
This tree is very easy to make and there are so many different ways you can make it. I hope you’ll get creative and give this tree a try.
