We decorate with a lot of trees here at The Shabby Tree. I wanted to create a tree that can be used in a greeting card or a hang tag. We have been doing a few crafts using coffee filters and I just knew it would make a great paper tree!
This DIY is so simple and only requires a few supplies. The supplies you will need are:
1. Coffee filters or paper doilies
2. Glue
3. Popsicle sticks
4. Brown paint
5. Paint brush
I coffee stained my coffee filter but you can use a white coffee filter or a paper doily.
First step is to fold your coffee filter in half.
Fold the bottom part up. I came up less then half way.
You will then bring the end back over.
You will then fold the back side in. Once you lay it down it will look like a tree.
I then added som glue to help hold all the folds in place.
I then painted the popsicle sticks and glued them to the back of the tree.
I glued a small doily to the top.
You can do this same process to a paper doily.
These are so easy to make and can be created with any type of paper. I love that they can be created any size that you want.
I hope you will all get creative and give these a try!
