DIY Paper Cone Wreath

by blewis | Mar 18, 2025 | Everyday DIY, Home Decor | 17 comments

I recently ordered some beautiful double sided scrapbook paper from Amazon. The print on this paper is so pretty that I thought it would be fun to create a wreath out of it.
The supplies that I’ll be using first this wreath are listed down below.
1. Paper cutter
2. Hot glue
3. Double sided scrapbook paper sheets (12”x12”)
4. Piece of cardboard
5. Small silver tray
6. X-acto knife
You can find the paper that I ordered from Amazon by clicking my Amazon store front down below.
https://www.amazon.com/shop/theshabbytree/list/2T5HJJUJZ2DRH?linkCode=spc&tag=theshabbytree-20&domainId=influencer&asc_contentid=amzn1.ideas.2T5HJJUJZ2DRH
The first step is to cut the 12”x12” sheets of paper into four 6”x6” squares.
Once you have the paper cut into 6”x6” squares you’ll then want to roll them into a cone shape.
You’ll bring the two sides together to form a cone. Add some hot glue down one side to secure the cone shape.
You’ll want to make about 35 to 40 cones. Once you have the cones made you’ll then cut the cardboard into a circle. You can trace a paper plate for this step.
You can use an x-acto to cut the cardboard.
The first step is to glue 4 cones onto the cardboard as shown in photo above.
Once you have the first four cones in place you’ll then continue adding more.
Once you have the cones going all the way around the cardboard you’ll then want to add a second layer of cones. Be sure to place these cones in between the first set of cones.
Once all the cones are glued in place you’ll then want to add your center piece. I’m using a small silver tray. I added some of the paper to the center of the tray .
You’ll want to add hot glue to back of the center piece and then place it down into the center of the wreath.
This wreath can be made with any printed paper. I love how fun and unique this wreath is. This wreath will look great any where in your home. I hope you’ll get creative and give this wreath a try.

Didn’t you do one with book pages or music sheets when you first started? I seem to recall watching you. I’ve been with the shabby tree since the beginning. Anyway I love it!!!

Barb.. the one you did in your craft room ……did you use the entire 12×12 sheet instead of cutting it to make the big one? It’s beautiful!
