I have been decorating for Christmas and I’m working on two trees in my foyer. These trees stay up all year long and I just need to add a few Christmas ornaments to them. I want to keep it simple so I thought it would be fun to create a few larger ornaments out of some Christmas print paper.

The supplies that I’ll be using are :

1. Scrapbook paper ( my paper is 8.5in x 11in )

2. Hot glue

3. Scissors

4. Twine

5. Elmer’s glue

6. Glitter

I purchased my book of paper from Hobby Lobby. You will need 2 sheets of paper for one ornament.

You will want to fold your paper an accordion style.

You want to make sure that both ends are pointing down so that the white side of the paper is not showing at the end.

You will do this to both sheets of paper. You can make your folds as small or as big as you want.

You will want to fold them in half so that you create a center point.

I cut the ends of the paper at a slant. This is an optional step but I feel like it adds to the ornament.

You will glue both sheets together as shown in photo below.

Once they are glued together you’ll then add a piece of twine around the center. This is optional and will be a hanger for your ornament.

Once the twine is in place you’ll then glue the other sides together as shown in photo below.

I added Elmer’s glue around all of the edges and sprinkled on some glitter.

These are so easy to make and I hope you’ll have fun and give them a try.
