I love adding flowers throughout my home but I wanted something fun that I can add to a few of my all year long trees. We are always crafting and creating fun things here at The Shabby Tree. I use a lot of paper plates when crafting and I just knew we could create some fun roses out of them.

The supplies I will be using are:

1. Paper plate

2. Scissors

3. Glue gun

4. Burlap

5. Small tree branches

The first step is cut your paper plate. You will want to give the plate a wave effect.

I first cut the outside of the plate so that it had a wave appearance. Next you will begin to cut the plate giving it a spiral effect.

Once you have the plate cut it is time to start rolling the plate. You will grab the end and start rolling.

You will continue rolling until you get to the center.

You will be glueing the rose to the center piece of the plate.

You will want to let the rose unravel some before you glue it in place. The more you let it unravel the wider the rose will get.

I added hot glue to the bottom to hold it all in place.

Once the rose is formed and glued together I cut out two leaves from a piece of burlap.

I glued the leaves and the rose to the end of my tree branch.

These are so easy to make and you can add them to almost anything. I am glueing my roses to tree limbs so that I can stick them into my all year long trees. These roses can be placed on a variety of things.

I hope you will get creative and give these a try. I just love how they look in my trees.
