I’ve been going through my craft supplies and I realize I have a lot of the Dollar Tree funnels. We’ve made a fun tree out of them in the past . I thought it would be fun to try and create a snowman head using one funnel.
The supplies that I’ll be using are:
1. One funnel from the Dollar Tree ( They come in a pack of 3 and I’m using the medium one)
2. Heat gun 3. X-acto knife
4. Cream and Black chalky finish paint by DecoArt
5. Spiced Pumpkin colored acrylic paint by DecoArt
6. Paint brush
7. Spray adhesive
8. Mica flakes
The Dollar Tree funnels come in a pack of 3 and I’m using the medium one for this snowman head.
You’ll want to use the x-acto knife to cut the outer edge off of the funnel.
The next step is to use the heat gun to melt the long tip of the funnel.
You’ll want to use some type of tool to hold and squeeze the funnel.
This will take some time and patience. I want it to have indentions and be closed at the tip. It might look rough right now but once it’s painted it looks good. This gives it a more natural look of a carrot rather then using the tip of the funnel as is.
I painted the funnel with the cream chalky finish paint.
I painted the tip of the funnel with the Spiced Pumpkin acrylic paint.
You’ll use the black chalky finish paint to create the eyes and mouth to your snowman.
Once the paint was all dry I then added a spray adhesive and then sprinkled on the mica flakes.
I made a small hole on each side of the snowman head and added a piece of wire.
The wire will allow me to attach the snowman head to a small wreath.
This was very easy to make and you can add it to so many different things. I hope you’ll get creative and give this a try.
You can find the candle ring that I used down below.
