Summer is quickly approaching which has me wanting to make a new wreath for my front door. I thought it would be fun to use a chalkboard for this wreath. The chalkboard will allow you to write different messages on your door.

The main supplies that I’ll be using for this pocket wreath is a chalkboard from Walmart and window box from Home Depot. You can find the chalkboard on Walmart by clicking my referral link down below.
The first step is to cover the window box with some black spray paint.

I’ll be using two nuts and two bolts to attach the window box to the chalkboard. The first step is to drill two holes into the window box and the chalkboard.

I inserted the screws from the backside of the chalkboard into the flower box and then added the nut.

I decided to add some moss around the edge of the chalkboard.

I decided to add a few wooden embellishments to the frame and the window box. This is an optional step but I think it really adds a pop to this pocket wreath.

I used an antique gold Rub’n buff to the wooden embellishments.

You can find the wooden embellishments on Amazon by clicking my referral link down below.

I drilled a hole into the center of the large wooden embellishment and attached it to the window box with a bolt and nut. The last step is to add your flowers to the window box. I added three half spheres and a battery operated candle to this one.

Hi Barb, love the chalk board and the extra touches of gold make it a perfect outcome! Loving it!
Loved it last night and still love it today!
Wreath is cute great on a front door, an office or kitchen. Could put mail, write messages or instructions. Could even attach hooks for keys.
