I love having candles throughout my home and I use a lot of battery operated candles. We have decorated candles using napkins here at The Shabby Tree but I wanted to create something fun and unique that could be removed from the candle. We have made some fun items using socks and and I knew a sock would work perfect for covering a candle.

The supplies you will need are:

1. Sock (I like the Dr scholl’s socks for men in Walmart)

2. Scissors

3. Surebonder fabric glue

4. Doilies and bling

The first step is to cut your sock. You will want to be sure to cut your sock big enough so that you can fold the edges under.

Next you use the surebonder glue to glue on your doilies and bling.

I love these covers because they are not glued on and can be removed and changed out for different holidays or seasons. You can always use decorative or printed socks and do the same technique. This is so easy to make and would make a great gift . I hope you will all get creative and give this a try!
