Spring is right around the corner, which means it’s the perfect time to start decorating your home for the season. When I think of spring decor, I always think of bunnies and beautiful flowers. In this DIY, we’ll create an easy bunny decoration that you can use anywhere in your home to add a fun and festive touch of spring.

The supplies that I’ll be using are listed down below.
1. One piece of cardboard
2. On paper plate
3. Hot glue
4. Mod podge
5. Fabric strips
6. Box cutter
7. Scissors
8. One 10 to 12 inch doily
9. Brown and ivory acrylic paint
10. Bunny ears from Walmart
11. One small bling
12. Paint brush

The first step is to trace a paper plate onto a piece of cardboard. I’m using a 10-inch paper plate to create the base for this project.

The next step is to cut the cardboard circle out and then paint it. Be sure to paint both the cardboard circle and the bunny ears so everything matches once your decoration is assembled.

I mixed brown and cream paint together to create the color I wanted for this project.

Once the paint is dry, you’ll want to glue the doily onto the cardboard circle.

I added hot glue along the edge of the cardboard circle to secure the doily in place.

I used one of our doilies from our website. You can find this doily set by clicking the link down below.
The next step is to cut the paper plate in half. Once the plate is cut in half, trim off the edge that curls upward.
Next, apply Mod Podge to the paper plate and then add the fabric strips on top.
Be sure to apply another layer of Mod Podge over the fabric to help seal it in place.
Once the fabric is in place, trim off any excess fabric around the edges.
Next, add hot glue to the back side of the paper plate and then place the plate onto the cardboard circle.
The final step is to add the bunny ears and a bow to complete your decoration.
I inserted the wire from the ears into the cardboard and added a touch of hot glue to help secure them in place.
I cut two pieces of the fabric strips to create a bow.
Once the bow was complete, I added a small piece of bling to the center.
You can add some flowers and a taper candle to the pocket for a fun decorative touch.
The link for the flowers and timer taper that I’m using are down below.
This cute spring decoration will look great anywhere in your home. I hope it inspires you to get creative and give this DIY a try!
