I find myself in the Dollar Tree a lot and I bought a few packs of the tissue paper pom pom garland. There are so many things you can do with these pom poms. I will usually add them into my trees for a pop of color. I knew that the orange colored ones would be amazing to use for fall. I love decorating for Fall and I knew we could create a fun and unique pumpkin with these tissue paper pom poms.
The supplies you will need are:
1. A sheet of styrofoam
2. Tissue paper pom poms (I am using orange and green and they are from the Dollar Tree)
3. Scissors
4. Knife
5. Floral Pins (I purchased mine from Hobby Lobby)
The first step is to cut your pumpkin out of the styrofoam.
You can cut your pumpkin to be any shape you want.
Now you will need to open up your pom pom garland and start fluffing your pom poms.
I suggest opening and fluffing all of your pom poms before starting to pin them onto your styrofoam pumpkin.
I am using floral pins to attach the pom poms to my styrofoam pumpkin. Everyone’s pumpkin will be a different size but it will take 3 packs of the pom pom garland to cover my pumpkin.
Here is the measurement of my styrofoam sheet.
I cut the excess ribbons off of each pom pom. Be sure not to cut too close to the tie.
You will then slip the floral pin through the pom pom and attach to your styrofoam pumpkin.
You will just keep adding your pom poms until your pumpkin is covered.
I then fluffed 3 green pom poms to add to my stem.
This is so easy to create and it looks amazing.
