I’m wanting to make some new decor for my home and if you know me then you know I always want to make some sort of tree. I was in Walmart buying some new toys for my grandbaby and found some inspiration for a fun and unique tree. Walmart has a fun stacking toy that will work perfect for the tree that I have in mind.

You can use any type of toy similar to this one to make the tree. You can find the link for this toy down below.
I’ll be using some ivory chunky yarn, hot glue and small doilies for this tree.

You’ll want to start wrapping the yarn around each ring to the toy. The center hole is small so you will not be able to cover the entire ring by going through the center hole. Once you get to a certain pint you’ll want to cut small strips of the yarn and glue them in place to completely cover the ring.

I went through the hole so that you won’t have a big lump of yarn in the center of each piece.

Once you have the pieces covered with the chunky yarn you’ll start glueing them together.

I started with the largest piece at the bottom. I did place this onto a small wooden riser that I found at Hobby Lobby.

I added small doilies in between each piece as I glued them together.

I glued a wooden star to the top of the tree. This was an unfinished wooden star from Walmart that I added some stain to. You can find this pack of stars from Walmart by clicking the link down below.

This tree is wobbly but does stay stable when set in place. This is such a fun tree to make and can be created with any color yarn that you want. I hope you’ll get creative and give this tree a try.
