Ok Fall is right around the corner and it’s time to start creating some Halloween decorations. One of our amazing followers shared an idea for a fun witch head and I wanted to give it a try. This witch head can be created all different ways and is very easy to make.

The supplies that I’ll be using are:

1. One recycled egg carton

2. Scissors

3. Hot glue

4. Elmers glue

5. Spanish moss

6. Paint brush

7. Green glass gems from the Dollar Tree

8. DecoArt Americana Decor Chalky Finish paint ( colors black and lace)

9. DecoArt Americana acrylic paint ( colors Avocado and Berry Red)

10. DecoArt Metallic acrylic paint ( color Glorious Gold)

11. Extra fine silver glitter

The first step is to cut the egg carton. you will want to cut a section as shown in photo below.

You will want to form a nose and chin. I squeezed the center and glued it in place.

I cut the bottom corners to give a curved shape.

I created a small hole for a mouth below the nose.

I cut a small piece from the egg carton to glue on the backside of the mouth. You will only want to place the glue on the top part of the piece.

You still want to see through the hole for the mouth but this extra piece will look like the inside of the mouth.

Once I had the witch head formed I then painted it with the Avocado colored paint.

I added just a little black paint around the top two center areas. This is where the eyes will be.

You will cut out 2 pieces for the hat from the remaining parts of the egg carton.

I painted both pieces for the hat with the black chalky finish paint.

I cut a slice into the bottom piece and placed the top piece down into the slit.

I bent the the bottom part of the top piece and added some hot glue to hold it in place.

Once I had the hat formed I then glued the glass beads onto the face for the eyes.

I added some Elmers glue around the glass beads and then sprinkled on some of the glitter.

I added some of the red paint to the cheeks and mouth. You can add some of the Glorious Gold to the inside of the mouth. I decided to add some of the lace colored Chalky Finish paint to the mouth for teeth.

You will want to grab some of the Spanish Moss for hair.

I added hot glue to the backside of the head and placed it onto the Spanish moss.

This witch head is so easy to make and will look great added to your Halloween decor. I hope you will get creative and give this fun Diy a try.
