I was in Marshall’s today and their shopping bags caught my eye. We have created a few things out of their shopping bags before. The one I saw today caught my eye and I knew exactly what I wanted to do with it as soon as I saw it.
They had a few different bags but this one caught my eye. I think this bag will look so good hanging on a front door.
I want this bag to look more like a pocket so I’ll be cutting the bag.
I cut down the side and bottom center of the bag.
I then used hot glue to glue the sides and bottom down. You can probably glue the bag without cutting it but I like how the bag turns out when cutting it.
Once I had the sides and bottom glued down I then glued both pieces of the bag together.
You’ll want to make sure that your edges line up when glueing them together.
Once you have all three sides glued together you’ll have a pocket.
I added some bubble wrap to add some filler to my pocket. You can add some plastic or recycled grocery bags to the inside of the pocket.
This will not be for everyone but I love fun and unique items. I hope this will inspire you to get creative and change things up.
