I found myself in my local Dollar Tree again checking out their Halloween decorations. After walking up and down all of the isles I came across some packs of plastic ornaments. These ornaments are orange which will work perfect for a pumpkin craft.
The supplies that Iβll be using are listed down below.
1. Three packs of orange ornaments from the Dollar Tree.
2. One 8×10 inch black canvas from the Dollar Tree
3. X-acto knife
4. Hot glue
5. Paint brush
6. Orange fine glitter from 143 vinyl
7. Elmerβs glue
8. Spanish moss
9. Piece of mulch from my yard
The first step is to figure out where you want the ornaments to be placed. Once you know where you want the ornament to go youβll make a small hole using the x-acto knife.
Be sure to remove the top piece of the ornament and then place the ornament into the hole.
The top part of the ornaments should be sticking out of the back of the canvas as shown in photo above.
I placed the ornaments to form a shape of a pumpkin as shown in photo below.
Once I had the pumpkin shape created I then marked the outside of the pumpkin using Elmerβs glue.
Youβll want to remove all of the ornaments and then paint the entire pumpkin shape with the Elmerβs glue.
Once the glitter and glue is dry youβll then want to glue the ornaments back in place.
Once you have all of the ornaments glued in place youβll then add the stem and moss.
This is such a fun and unique pumpkin. I hope youβll get creative and give this pumpkin a try.
I already have these ornaments I use on one of my shabby trees. But been hanging jewelry on that tree so ornaments have not been put up yet. I will try this
I love this pumpkin. So unique and colorful Barb. You are so creative and I love how you encourage us to think out of the box and try new things. You are an inspiration to us all.
Love this pumpkin craft.
Love it
So cute! But wouldn’t have anywhere I could put it.
What a cool idea! My hubby would disown me if I brought all that glitter to my decor! You are a delight and so creative! Thanks for sharing yourbfamilybwithbus!
I think it turned out good, I have made so many things you have designed, I think Iβll pass on this one
How clever!!!! I love this idea!!!! Might have to try this if my dollar tree has the orange ornaments!!ππππππππππππππππππππππ
I really like the pumpkin craft. I would love to receive a box of craft supplies. I am disabled from a leg amputation. Iβm stuck in the house 85% of my time. Being able to craft keeps me positive.
This turned out amazing! I love itβ€οΈ! I would put this on the top of my roll top desk.
Yes I love this . I thought you were going to putthe pumpkins on a cone in a tree shape. I wonder if you stuck lights in the back thru each hole would they shine thru the orange pumkins at least in a low glow?
This is a really cute craft. The color of the ornaments are really pretty in that deep orange shade. Those would be cute to do the similar technique using one of those pumpkin shaped forms. Hot glue the fabric on the form then spray adhesive spray, then glitter. Attach the ornaments with hot glue. Add Barb’s famous pumpkin stem with moss. Then it could be hung on a door like a wreath.
This isn’t something I would make. Seems like a lot of steps to create a pumpkin. I might do it if I didn’t have so many pumpkins in my home but probably not. Also, the orange color is somewhat bright and fake looking.
Cute and easy idea!
This is really cute.
It is cute but not really something I would make and display in my home. I love the color on the ornaments though. I am not a fan of glitter or a lot of moss. Thank you for sharing the idea as others may love this pumpkin.
What a cute easy idea ! πππ»love it
You are so creative! I wouldnβt have thought of this!
This is just as cute as can be. I would definitely make this!!!π¦π¦π¦π¦π¦π¦π¦π¦π¦π¦π¦π¦
I wish I had the ability to create like you do. Iβm working on it and have gotten better. I enjoy doing crafts and so glad you are here to show us how.
This is really cute, I am not a huge fan of glitter as it gets all over the house and I have a devil of a time trying to keep the cat from “helping” me when I’m crafting. But if one of my friends wanted one I would surely make it for them, glitter and all.
Very pretty and creative Barb!
Love this idea Barb , havenβt seen those little ornaments in my Dollar Tree yet but will check again .
Very creative and cute.
The burnt orange color is so rich a very beautiful pumpkin and creative!

Thank you for the idea! I have a few of those ornaments in other Halloween colors. I might try something similar.
I think I would make this and put it on a door

Turned out cute! I donβt think it is something I would make, but it is cute.
So cute! Making a dollar tree run tomorrow to find the supplies to try it.
Yes, I do like it and will be going to dollar tree to get the ornaments to make one.
Awesome pumpkin π. I will have to look at DT for ornaments.
The pumpkin is cute. Barb I would string across my mantle.
It’s pretty but not for me. I like the rusty orange coloring of the ornaments. I made an ornament wreath last year and it just didn’t work for me. β€οΈπ²
I love how this turned out. I want to make it.
This is the cutest pumpkin. I have to get to Dollar Tree and get these supplies to make this.
Turned out Super cute! Going to try to make it. Have all the bulbs just need canvas. Will put on my mantle.β€οΈ
