I find myself in Hobby Lobby a lot and I found some amazing clearanced flowers. They were a bright lime green and I knew I wanted to change them up. I have a lot of old windows and I knew I wanted to some how incorporate the flowers into an old window.

The supplies you will need are: some foam flowers (I got these from Hobby Lobby on clearance), an old window, material of your choice, glue gun, scissors and spray paint. I’m using the rust-oleum paint and primer.

First you will need to spray paint your flowers. You will need to do light coats and let them dry in between. Because they are flowers I had to spread the petals apart to get paint down in between each petal. I’m spraying mine 3 different colors.

After your flowers have been painted and dried it is time to put your material onto the window.

I placed the material completely over the back side of the window. I then took my glue gun and glued the material onto the frame of the window. You want to make sure you are gluing on the inside of the frame so your material will be tight and snug to window.

Once you have glued all your material in place cut the excess material off. I left about an inch of material so that I can glue the ends down in place.

Now, flip the window over and decide how you want your flowers displayed onto the front.

Once you’ve figured out where you want to place your flowers, put hot glue onto the back of each flower and glue them into place.

This is a great piece that can be used anywhere in your home. It can be hung on a wall or placed on a mantle. I also love the idea of using this as a unique dry erase message board.
