How To Make A Light Up Valentine Decoration Using A walmart Treat Box

by blewis | Jan 30, 2025 | Holiday | 17 comments

Walmart has their Valentine decorations out and I just had to take a peek. I came across some clear heart shaped treat boxes that I just knew we could get creative with.
You can find these treat boxes on Walmart by clicking my referral link down below.

You can find the list of supplies that I’ll be using down below.
1. Treat boxes from Walmart
2 Hot Glue
3. Mod Podge
4. Lace
5. Lace ribbon
6. Flowers
7. Leaf stems from Walmart
8. Lace ribbon
9. Metallic Gold spray paint
The first step is to spray the outside of the box with the spray paint.
Once you have the treat boxes covered with the spray you’ll then cut out a lace heart.
I’m using a scrap piece of lace that I have in my craft supplies. You’ll want to cut the lace heart to fit in the center area of the treat box.
The next step is to attach the heart onto the treat boxes using the mod podge.
Once you have the lace heart in place you’ll then add the lace ribbon. You’ll want to add the ribbon to the outer edge of the lid.
The next step is to add the flowers and leaves to the top.
I’m using roses that we made out of the Play-Doh air dry clay. You’ll can find the directions for these flowers by clicking the link down below.

Once you have the flowers and greenery glued in place you’ll then add lights to the treat box.
This heart looks so good lit up at night.
This decoration was so quick and easy to make and will look great any where in your home. I hope you’ll get creative and give this diy a try.
