I want to make a quick and easy snowman decoration but I would also like for it to light up. After walking through Walmart I decided that we can use a simple grater to create a light up snowman decoration.

I purchased my grater from Walmart for $5.77.

Some other supplies that I’ll be using are:

1. Waverly snow white chalk paint from Walmart

2. Waverly antique wax from Walmart

3. Spiced Pumpkin acrylic paint by DecoArt

4. Lamp Black acrylic paint by DecoArt

5. Paint brush

6. Dauber brushes

7. Ribbon

8. Greenery

9. Hot glue

10. Bling embellishment

The first step is to paint the grater with the white chalk paint.

Once the white paint was dry I added just a touch of the antique wax here and there.

I cut some greenery and ribbon to add to the top of the grater.

I decided to use some wire to wrap around the greenery.

I added some hot glue and then wrapped another piece of ribbon around them.

I used a dauber brush for the eyes and mouth.

I painted on a nose and the tied the ribbon onto the handle.

Once I was done I decided to make a few changes. I painted some black to the top of the sifter.

Once the black paint was dry I then glued the greenery to the inside of the sifter.

I glued a large bling embellishment to the outside. This snowman is very easy to make and there are so many different ways that you can make it. I hope you’ll get creative and give this snowman a try.

You can add a battery operated candle timer to give it some light.
