I was shopping in Marshall’s last week and I came across the cutest shopping bag. You can find these shopping bags up by their registers for 99 cents.

I knew as soon as I saw this bag that I wanted to turn it into a Christmas decoration. This bag is double sided and I’ll be using only one side for this decoration.

I decided to turn this bag into a framed art. The supplies that I’ll be using are:

1. One 20” x 16” canvas

2. Clear cast epoxy from Walmart

3. Scissors

4. Hot glue

5. Paint brush

6. Decoupage

7. Gold Texture by DecoArt

I cut one side of the bag.

I added some of the decoupage to the back side of the canvas

Use the paint brush to spread the decoupage over the canvas as shown in photo above.

You’ll want to add the piece of bag over the decoupage. You’ll need to trim the bag so that it fits under the sides of the frame.

I used a paper towel and pressed down over the entire bag. You want to be sure to get out any bubbles or creases.

Once I had the bag in place I then added some hot glue under the sides of the frame. This will help hold the bag securely in place.

Once I had the glue added under the sides of the frame I then mixed the epoxy.

I ended up using the entire box for this craft. You’ll mix the epoxy according to the directions.

I mixed both bottles together and then poured the mixture over the canvas.

Be sure that the epoxy covers the entire bag. Once I had the epoxy over the bag I then set it aside over night to dry.

Once the epoxy was dry I then added the gold colored Texture to the frame.

I decided to glue down the canvas before adding the Texture.

Once I had the canvas glued down to the frame I then added the Texture.

I used texture because it covered the staples and canvas well. Once I had the frame covered with the Texture I set it aside over night to dry.

This turned out amazing and will look great mixed in with my Vintage Christmas decorations. I hope this will inspire you to get creative.
