How To Make Hanging Doilies

by blewis | Feb 16, 2025 | Everyday DIY, Home Decor | 13 comments

I have always loved doilies and I’m super excited to say we now have them on our website. I’m changing out my mantel for Spring and Easter and I knew I wanted to incorporate some of our new doilies.
The doilies that I’m using are 3 larger size doilies and you can find them on our website by clicking the link down below.

I’ll be using a jute or twine with a thick wire and a thin wire to create a ring for each doily.
I used a thin wire to attach the jute and thick wire together. You’ll want to create a circle bigger than the doily.
The jute and thick wire attached together will allow you to form a circle. Once you have the circle formed you’ll then attach the doily.
I used the thin wire to attach the doily to the circle. You can use a needle and thread for this part.
These hanging doilies were so quick and easy to make. They look great hanging from the garland on my mantel.
I hope you’ll get creative and give these hanging doilies a try.
