I found myself in the Dollar Tree walking up and down all of the isles. I came across some kids mittens that I just knew we could get creative with.

They have these mittens in a variety of colors but I only wanted the red and pink.

I’m going to turn these mittens into some fun heart bowl fillers. I’ll be using some poly- fill, needle and thread.

I filled each mitten with some poly-fil stuffing.

Once I had the mitten stuffed I then tucked the bottom of the mitten in as shown in photo above.

I used a needle and some thread to sew the opening closed.

I wrapped some ribbon around the heart and glued on a bling embellishment. This is an optional step but I think it helped form the mitten into a better heart shape.

I did the same thing to some pink mittens.

These are very easy to make and look great in a dough bowl or in a tree. I hope you’ll get creative and give these a try.
