While I was walking through a few different stores I noticed some metal buckets and containers which got my mind going. I thought it would be fun to create some magnetic flowers that can be added to a variety of metal items for Spring.
The supplies that I’ll be using are:
1. Two inch teardrop wood pendants
2. Hot glue
3. Large buttons
4. Round 1.5” paper puncher
5. Elmer’s glue
6. Card stock paper
7. Acrylic paint ( I’m using warm white, light mocha and golden straw by DecoArt)
8. Walnut colored gel stain by DecoArt
9. Paint brush
10. Glitter
11.Large extra strength magnets
The first step is to punch out your circles from the card stock paper. You can use any color paper that you want. You’ll need one paper circle for each flower.
The next step is to glue the 2” teardrop wood pendants to the round paper circle.
You can use 6 teardrops or 8 teardrops for a flower.
Once you have the teardrops glued in place you’ll then paint them.
I used a light mocha on one flower.
Once I had the paint on I then added some Walnut colored gel stain.
The next step is to glue a large button to the top center.
I added some elmer’s glue and glitter to my buttons.
You can find the glitter that I used on 143 vinyl by clicking my referral link down below.

I did the same process for each flower that I made.
The last step is glue the magnet to back of the flower. I purchased my magnets from Walmart.
These are so easy to make and look great on any metal container. You can find the container that I’m using on our website by clicking the link down below.
