I love rice paper and I love using it for all different crafts. Rice paper is very easy to get creative with. I want to use some to create a fun and unique light up decoration.

The supplies that I’ll be using are:

1. Rice paper from European Excellency

2. Picture frames

3. Hot glue

4. Scissors

5. Scrap wood

6. Battery operated candle

You can find rice paper and napkins on European Excellency by clicking my link down below. Be sure to use Code Barb to get a 10% discount.

You’ll want to remove the back of the picture frame. Once you have the back removed you’ll then cut the rice paper to fit into the frame.

I added some hot glue to secure the glass and the rice paper into the frame.

I added some hot glue to the bottom back side of the frame and added a piece of scrap wood.

This will allow your frame to stand up without adding the back piece of the frame. You won’t be using the back piece of the frame because you want light to shine through the glass.

You can do this to different size frames.

You’ll want to place a battery operated candle to the back of the frame. The candle will allow the rice paper glow.

You can make this for any holiday or season. This looks so pretty at night and I hope you’ll give it a try.
