You can create fun and amazing decorations on a budget. Crafting does not have to be expensive and there are so many different things that you can use. Spring is coming and you’ll find a variety of paper seed starting pots in the stores right now. These are very low cost and make an amazing craft item. They can easily be turned into an Easter decoration that can be used different ways.

These pots come in a variety of sizes.

The first thing that I like to do is paint the pots. I’m using a cream chalky finish paint by DecoArt on my pots.

These pots are very easy to decoupage onto. I’m going to decoupage some pieces of rice paper onto mine. You can find the rice paper that I’m using on European Excellency. I have a link down below that will take you right to it. Be sure to use Code Barb at check out for a 10% discount.

I ripped pieces of the rice paper and decoupaged them onto the pots.

I added some glitter around the edge of the rice paper.

I used hot glue to add some Spanish moss around the edge of the pot.

I added a gold pipe cleaner to turn it into a small basket.

These are so easy to make and can be used as a simple decoration or a small basket to give some goodies in.

I hope you’ll have fun , get creative and give this a try.
