I love finding simple ways to give everyday pieces a fresh new look, and this lampshade makeover is such an easy one! With just a piece of fabric and a few basic supplies, you can completely change the look of a lampshade and make it feel like it fits right in with your home decor.

Here is what I used for this craft:
1. A fabric lampshade
2. Fabric from our website
3. Fabric mod podge
4. Scissors
5. A paintbrush

I started out by cutting squares out of the fabric. You can do this however you like! I did several different sizes so I could layer them however I want later!

There are so many different types of mod podge. I felt like the fabric one was the best fit because we are putting fabric on fabric.

I took my paint brush and added some mod podge to the lampshade and then laid the fabric where I wanted it.

I then brushed more mod podge over the fabric to secure it.

I did this all the way around the lamp and when it was dry, it turned out so pretty!

The glow through the fabric is so pretty and I could have left it at this, but I wanted to add one more thing to really make it pop!

I grabbed my hot glue gun and some bling from our website to give it some sparkle!
You can find the bling I used here: https://theshabbytreeboutique.com/set-of-3-bling-trim/

I added some of the hanging bling along the bottom trim.

I added some with the cute clusters on the top!

I really love the way the bling makes it feel complete!

This lampshade makeover is such a simple way to give an old piece a fresh new look. You can use any fabric that matches your style, which makes this DIY easy to customize for any room in your home. I hope you’ll get creative and give this fun makeover a try! I would love to know which way you like better, with or without the bling!
