Spring is here which means Mother’s Day is right around the corner. I thought it would be fun to create a fun and unique lamp that would also make a great Mother’s Day gift. This will be a fun purse lamp that will make a great decoration any where in your home.

The supplies that I’ll be using are listed down below.
- One mesh basket from the Dollar Tree
- One doily from our website
- Burlap
- Hot glue
- Wire
- One clip light
- One pack of nautical rope from the Dollar Tree
- Ribbon and bling
The first step is to squeeze the top of the basket as shown in photo above.

The next step is to create the handle to the purse. The first step is to cut a piece of wire 20 inches long. Once you have the wire cut you’ll then wrap two pieces of the nautical rope around the wire.

You’ll twist the nautical rope around the wire. I added some hot glue as I twisted the nautical rope.

I wrapped some wire around the ends of the nautical rope and then wrapped the wire around the basket.

Once the handle is in place you’ll then add burlap around the basket.

Once the burlap is glued in place you’ll then add a doily to the top. I cut a doily in half to add to each side of the bag. You can find the doily that I’m using on our website by clicking the link down below.

Once the doily is glued in place you’ll then add a clip light to the bottom.

You can find the clip light on our website by clicking the link down below.
