We’re always getting creative here at The Shabby Tree and changing things up. I thought it would be fun to change up a simple denim jacket today. This will be very easy to do by using mod podge fabric.

The supplies that I’ll be using are listed down below.

1. One denim jacket

2. Fabric

3. Scissors

4. Mod Podge Fabric

5. Paint brush

I recommend washing the fabric and denim jacket first. Once the fabric was washed and dried I then found some patterns. I’ll be tracing some flowers onto my cream fabric. You can print flower patterns or you can cut some out from scrap paper or gift bags.

Once the flowers are traced onto the fabric you’ll then cut them out.

Once you have the flowers cut out you’ll then want to add a coat of the mod podge to the back side of the fabric.

Once you have the mod podge applied to the back side of the fabric you’ll then place the fabric onto the jacket. You’ll want to give the fabric at least 2 hours to dry before adding a top coat of mod podge.

You’ll add a thin coat of mod podge over the fabric.

I thought it would be fun to pin a few broaches to the center of my flowers.

I went a step further and I added some lace over the fabric.

I did the same process for the lace flowers.

You’ll want to let this fabric dry a good 72 hours before washing. I recommend washing on gentle cycle with cold water and hang to dry.

I love how this jacket turned out and just love how easy it was to make. I hope you’ll get creative and give this mod podge a try.
