We always seem to find different ways to get creative with napkins here at The Shabby Tree. European Excellency has a beautiful nativity napkin that I want to turn into a light up decoration.
You can find this napkin on European Excellency by clicking my referral link down below.
The supplies that I’ll be using for this diy are listed down below.
1. One nativity napkin from European Excellency
2. Mod podge
3. Fine gold glitter from 143 Vinyl
4. Paint brush
5. Ivory chalk paint by Waverly
6. True Blue paint by Folk Art
7. One glass vase from Walmart
The first step is to remove the back layers of the napkin.
Once you have the back layers removed you’ll then want to cut the napkin in half.
You’ll want to add some of the Mod podge to the glass vase. I’m adding the Mod podge to the upper part of the vase.
Once you have the Mod podge added to the vase you’ll then place one half of the napkin over the Mod podge.
The next step is to cut the other strip of napkin in half and add one piece to the empty space on the glass jar. The goal is to get the napkin to go completely around the glass jar.
Once I had the napkin in place I then started adding the paint to the bottom part of the glass jar.
I blended the Ivory and the blue paint together.
I added some of the Mod podge and gold glitter to small parts of the napkin.
You can find the gold glitter that I used on 143 Vinyl by clicking my referral link down below.
I added this vase to the center of a wreath which will make a great centerpiece for my table.
I hope you’ll get creative and give this a try.
